As most low budget projects are only worth a weeks work to achieve a profit! As we all know Profit = Budget - (staff salary + rent + other overhead expenses)! Hence, all the factors that effect a project are the price, work hours and deadline. As for me, with two staff and an office space, daily expenses comes to something close to Rf1500/day. Which I need to meet! This is the formula I use for all my projects! If the client set the deadline, I set the price and work hours. If they set the price, I set the deadline and work hours (loosely translated as quality). So far not many clients know what they want as per quality of the project is concerned, all in all, price or deadline is the deciding factor. However, often on the field it is a bit more pliable than that! Yes of course, we can do a lot better... In creative projects like designing, often creativity = time spent on the project!
